Quality Assurance
At Jark Healthcare the quality of the staff we provide is of the utmost importance. Staff development plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing staff skills and knowledge and the Training Division of Jark Healthcare is pivotal in achieving these aims. All new staff undertake the Skills for Care Inductions programme and are encouraged to maintain a skills and learning portfolio.
The Training Division prepares staff to meet the ever changing needs of clients and service users. At Jark Healthcare our training is not just limited to the required mandatory elements. Additional training programmes are delivered around the key areas of elderly, mental health, learning difficulties, end of life, physical disabilities, sensory impairment and acquired brain injury.
Due to the wealth of internal training available Jark Healthcare staff can be trained to meet very specific client needs including complex continuing and short term conditions, and clients whose needs require carers with the skills and training in more than one discipline.
Our unique Lifetime Support Programme trains care workers in learning difficulties support and support workers in care skills. This enables a continuity of care for service users with learning difficulties who have or develop a medical condition that requires hands on care. At Jark Healthcare we further specialise in providing support and care for service users with Downs Syndrome and dementia.
To further reinforce our emphasis on the provision of quality staff Jark Healthcare also provides the Care Academy Programme. Jark Healthcare take people with little or no formal care experience and through a structured course of training, shadowing and assessment give them the knowledge and skills required to embark on a career in the care industry.
Domiciliary care staff receive a wide range of condition specific training in addition to the required mandatory elements. This can include staff being trained in a service users own home if required.
All care staff are encouraged to embark upon NVQ programmes and other formal qualifications. Our internal training function delivers the underpinning knowledge required to achieve these qualifications.
Our staff are our ambassadors in the world of healthcare and we pride ourselves on the training process to ensure that the quality and suitability of all grades of staff match the needs of our clients.
