The team behind a successful business are often not heard of. Here at Jark’s Head Office we are very proud of the capability and expertise of everyone involved in all areas of support.

Let John introduce you to some of the characters that you would meet by starting a new recruitment business with Jark Joint Ventures.

Neil Rogers – Financial Director

Neil is one of the newest members of the team, after joining in February 2011, and we are very pleased to have such an experienced and highly qualified chartered accountant on board. Neil is the first point of contact for the banks and oversees the finance team. He deals with the financial governance of the group, incorporating management accountancy, tax, cash management and more. Neil has a very strong strategic input into the group.

David Jaffrey - Senior Management Consultant

David has over 30 years of accountancy experience and has worked in recruitment for more than 16 years. He produces periodic management accounts, supported by in depth year-end accounts. David deals with auditors, prepares reports and works closely with our shareholders and their accounts as well as all funding requirements and banking day to day.

Diane MacLean – Payroll Manager

Diane, who is the longest serving support member, oversees the Payroll team. She has seen the business start with just a few temps out working, to managing a whole team who pay thousands of temps each week. Her knowledge, dedication and personality are invaluable and she is often credited for lifting the team spirit in Head Office.

Danny Parr – Group Support Director

Danny is our expert in Technology and Business Support, everything from a business card to complex IT and communications, unlike some other techies, he has a great personality with an enthusiasm for life and motorsport outside of the recruitment industry. He has over 18 years experience supporting a huge range of businesses from premier football clubs to large public sector organisations with 10 of those years spent supporting the recruitment sector directly. He oversees the management of IT, procurement and all functions of business support outside accounts. Danny has created an IT platform far more advanced and far more capable than the size of our current business and that beyond our competition enabling Jark to literally deploy an office in a matter of hours! He has developed all areas of a strong and successful support team.

Amanda Smith - HR and Training Manager

Amanda deals with HR for both internal staff and external clients working alongside a large organisation of employment law specialists. She is also an expert on the specialist staffing software system that is used by Jark and its Joint Ventures, including training and development as well as making sure the system is tailored to what each individual business needs. Amanda has inside knowledge of the recruitment industry after working for more than 20 years as a consultant and branch manager. She is also IPD (now CIPD) qualified and joined Jark over 14 years ago as a branch manager and when the opportunity arose and the HR department was launched at Head Office Amanda grabbed it with both hands. For the last three years she headed up HR combining all of her skills and has proven to be a valuable resource.

Elaine Southwell – Accounts Dept Supervisor

With more than 18 years working in Accounts, and 10 years of experience in the banking sector, Elaine is most definitely an important member of the team. She has worked at Head Office for over 13 years and is now managing a team of credit controllers and is involved in all areas of sales ledgers and supporting the allocation of cash.

Debbie Austin – PR Executive

Debbie, who graduated from university with a degree in advertising and public relations, joined Jark in November 2010 tasked with brand development and marketing support to the business. Debbie is integral to the launch and ongoing PR for the Joint Ventures including media relations and has built many strong relationships with the UK media market. Debbie has been successful in attracting media coverage from both national press and television and launches all our Joint Ventures with the attention grabbing boost every new business needs.
