JARK’S NEW OFFICE IN MAIDSTONE OFF TO A FLYING START

14th January 2008: Jark Recruitment, one of the UK’s largest independent providers of temporary and permanent contract staff has opened a new office in Maidstone and the three-strong team has enjoyed a successful first week.

Jark Commercial provides temporary and permanent staff for the office-based sector and joins Jark Industrial which has operated from the Kent Business Centre in Maidstone since last year. The company believes one of the core reasons for its success is specialising in specific recruitment sectors and developing an in-depth understanding of its clients’ needs. In addition to the commercial and industrial sectors, Jark has specialist healthcare and construction companies. The combined operation has 31 branches and 220 consultants and had a turnover of £44.7 million in the last financial year.

Based at the Kent Business Centre in Maidstone (01622 772413), Jark Commercial will specialise in both temporary and permanent vacancies across a wide range of commercial disciplines – sales, retail banking admin, telesales, legal, finance, accounts, HR etc, with a wide geographical area that covers Maidstone, Ashford, Canterbury, west Kent and Folkestone.

Jark Commercial was established in 2006 and already has offices in Stevenage and Reading. The Maidstone office is the first of several new branches scheduled for 2008.

The Maidstone team is managed by Jenny Rodwell, who has over three years experience in recruitment covering sales and commercial. She is supported by Ben White who looks after permanent placements and has three years of estate agency experience and a further two in field sales. Sara Coote is responsible for the temp division and has experience in retail and sales.
