Engineering Labourer

My client in the South Kirkby area are looking for an experience Engineering Labourer.

We are looking to recruit a General Operative responsible for the following…

• To maintain, repair, and paint edge-protection barriers to ensure they remain safe, serviceable, and presentable for use on site.

To support the refurbishment process by carrying out general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting whilst adhering to health and safety procedures and company quality standards.

Role Responsibilities

• Cleaning and general housekeeping
• Handling and transporting heavy lifts
• General operative duties
• Able to work independently
• Working effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines
• Ensuring all work complies with relevant health and safety legislation
• Stock control
• Maintaining and painting barriers to send to site
• Preparing and assembling materials and equipment kits for delivery to site

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in a labourer or similar role is preferred but not required
• Skills: Ability to follow instructions, perform physical tasks, and use tools and equipment safely
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions
• Safety: Knowledge of safety practices and procedures
• Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
• Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and dependability
