.NET TEAM LEAD - .NET DEVELOPER - WORCESTER - WORCESTERSHIRE - 45K

Do you have Management experience, or are you an experienced .NET Developer and looking to take the next step in your career in to a Management role?

I am currently working with a Worcester based client who are looking to recruit a new member of staff that will manage a team of .NET Developers.

The main responsibilities are as follows:
• Line manage .Net developer resources setting clear objectives and carrying out regular reviews and annual appraisals.
• Develop .Net developer team members by identifying training areas and agreeing individual development plans.
• Assist the Development Manager with career planning to maintain a skilled resource pool and robust succession planning
• Supply skilled resource across multiple Scrum delivery teams ensuring we have the best operational delivery capability.
• Manage resource utilisation making recommendations for headcount changes where required
• Maintain a clear view of supply and pre-emptively managing supply issues.
• Ensure a professional Software Development practice.
• Ensuring industry best practices are utilised throughout the Development discipline.
• Work with all other teams and departments to ensure the goal of delivery is not artificially impaired.
• Talent managing the team to ensure we have the best people and make recommendations to reward the positive working behaviours.
• Assist with development on projects where directed by Management

Qualifications:
• A Scrum qualification would be advantageous.
• CMMi certification would be advantageous.
• ITIL certification would be advantageous.
• Professional Development accreditations would be advantageous.

Experience:
• Industry experience of enterprise resource planning.
• Industry experience of software development
• Practical coaching experience.
• Industry experience of leading teams.
• Have a good working knowledge of Software architecture and design.
• Previous staff management experience of diverse team of skill sets, including direct responsibility for recruitment, retention and release.

Skills:
• Strong change governance methodologies.
• Operational customer relationship management.
• Deep knowledge of software development, associated design and architectures and a direct background in software development.
• Deep knowledge of internet technologies, web design/deployment principles and hosting.
• Insurance/Financial Services knowledge.

Aptitudes:
• Management of high volume of change in a high pressure environment.
• Excellent communicator with positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
• Driven, ambitious, self-sufficient, self-starter.
• Calm under pressure.
• Entrepreneurial style with ability to take considered risks whilst being aware of the Open corporate framework.
• Able to adopt and adapt to change initiatives and management practices.
• Able to operate in a transparent manner and not fear blame or failure
