Accounts & Administration Assistant

Accounts & Administration Assistant with sage experience

Our client based in Batley are looking to recruit a full time Accounts & Administration Assistant to support their busy team. This will be on a temporary basis for 3 months.

Reporting to the Accounts Manager, the Accounts & Administration Assistant’s primary role is to provide comprehensive support to the team by carrying out various daily tasks and ensuring they are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

The working hours are 37.5 per week – Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with 30 minutes each day for lunch.

The Candidate
Our client is looking for a motivated, highly organised and professional individual to support the Accounts Manager with the day to day Accounting responsibilities. The candidate will be positive and helpful with a “can-do” attitude. They must also be confident and approachable as some Reception cover will be required.

Key Responsibilities
• Purchase ledger
• Registering, processing and authorising invoices
• Checking supplier statements
• Dealing with supplier and customer invoice and payment queries
• Credit control
• Sales invoicing
• Operating switchboard
• General filing and admin
• Reception cover

Requirements
• Experience of working in an accounts and administrative environment
• Knowledge of Sage 200
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills across all levels
• Experience of payroll using Sage 50 is desirable but not essential

Rate of Pay
• £8.50 per hour
