Accounts Assistant

My client based in Kidderminster is looking to recruit a temporary accounts assistant for initially a 3 month contract

The role will involve the following duties -

DUTIES:
• Post Sales Invoices to Sales Ledger from Stock Program
• Prepare and email sales invoices to Customers
• Post the bank incoming and outgoing to Sage 50
• Allocate payments from customers in Sage 50
• Match sales invoices to sales documentation for customers using MS Excel and MS Word
• Reconcile Customer Accounts
• Receive and check supplier invoices
• Post approved supplier invoices to Purchase Ledger
• Initiate payables to suppliers, checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct
• Monitor accounts payable, following up on outstanding balances when required.
• Help to maintain exact financial records noting employer's incoming and outgoing finances.
• Managing petty cash and petty cash transactions
• Carry out administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, drafting correspondence
• Interact with customers and suppliers by phone and email.
• Sorting out incoming and outgoing daily post and answering any queries.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Must have a good knowledge of Sage 50
• Must have a good knowledge of MS Excel
• Must have knowledge of MS Outlook and MS Word
• Previous work experience in a online market place is desirable
