Business Development Executive - Leeds

Jark Bradford Ltd Commercial Division are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for x2 Business Development Executives to work in Leeds city centre, to Maintain and expand current customer relationships, whilst looking to obtain new sales, expand profits & customer base in defined Geographic territory.

Our client is an established global distributor of lubricants & consumables, components & spares, repair and maintenance, safety & GSE, Tooling and Tyres for the aviation industry. They partner over 100 major OEMs in distributing their products in over 80 countries.

This role will work within a busy Business Development team and requires an individual who has previous experience of working within a sales and customer focused business, with a demonstrable and proven track record of successfully achieving sales results.

Main aspects of the role:
• Act as first point of contact between the customer and the business
• Respond timely to Request for Quotes (RFQ), seeking customer feedback on quotes provided, ensuring the quote is the most practical for business
• Monitor order process both daily and through weekly consolidation by liaising with other departments in the business, to ascertain lead times and customer receipt of goods
• Maintain professional & personal relations with customer which includes daily contact and off-site visits as and when required
• Introduce product lines to customers with a focus on cross and up-selling of whole product portfolio
• Obtaining new business through meaningful interactions with potential customers, aiming to secure long-term contracts (3+ years)
• Monitor the market such as trends and competition, to help determine risk management, competitive pricing and develop pipeline opportunities. Note & keep track of any competitor pricing offered & share internally
• Explore new market openings such as new businesses coming to the market i.e. new maintenance repair operations (MRO’s)
• Maintain and develop manufacturer and supplier relations, with a view to seek price reductions
• Aim to secure new distributorships with target original equipment manufacturers (OEMs)
• Work effectively both individually and as a member of the Business Development Team, contributing to the supporting culture of the business

We are looking for applicants with the following:
• Demonstrable record of working within a sales and customer focused business
• Experience of reporting on a timely and accurate basis both externally and internally
• Ability to consistently 100% achieve or exceed specified targets
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard IT applications.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Business Development
• Experience of using CRM or SAP systems (Desirable)
• Relevant sector experience such as engineering or import/export (Desirable)
• Knowledge of aviation industry (Desirable)

• Positive approach to challenges, demonstrating resilience and flexibility
• Ability to work under own initiative and independently with minimal supervision

• Degree level qualification in Business or another relevant subject (Desirable)
• As a minimum, GCSEs in Maths and English at level 4 or C grade (or functional skills level 2/ equivalent qualification)
• Any other relevant Business or Sales qualifications

37.5 hours per week
Salary £24,000 per annum + commission bonus scheme
This is a permanent role
