Jark Norfolk Ltd are working with a reputiable Housing Contractor who are looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their already established team as of January 2021.
They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who has a sound understanding of private sales and affordable new build housing. Successful applicants will need to be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, technical understanding of Building Regulations, Civil Engineering & Ground Works, trade craft techniques. Good planning, management and organisation skills to be able to deliver the procurement for specialist contractors to given time scales.
The role requires applicants are able to;
*Accurately take off quantities
*Schedule materials
*Prepare detailed trade specifications
*Set labour only rates
*Negotiate and resolve disputes
*Analyse and prepare comparisons of products, materials and techniques to establish the most efficent and cost effective methods of construction
*Record, monitor and reconcile all payments to contractors
