Workshop Controller/parts manager

The Role
You will be joining a small friendly team at a specialist garage, where customer satisfaction and a high quality of work is paramount.
The key aspects of this job are:
• Scheduling jobs in the workshop,
• Producing estimates, booking in and following up on work conducted.
• Ensuring that the workshop runs smoothly – particularly the timely arrival of components required
in the workshop
• Producing reports on the efficiency of the workshop
You will work independently and as part of a team.
In the role of Workshop Controller, your duties will include:
• Constant communication with Technicians
• To ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction
• To control the flow of work completed by Technicians
• To ensure the quality of the work completed by Technicians
• To create estimates for customers / job sheets for technicians
• To assist in client liaison – helping with hand over and ensuring the vehicle is ready when
• To maintain high efficiency in the workshop
• Maintain well documented job cards
• To support and assist Technicians in the execution of their work
• To liaise with customers and third parties to ensure the work conducted is appropriate, approved
and desired.
• Assist in the completion of invoices.
• To promote a secure environment that allows customers to leave their cars with us knowing they
will be well looked after.

Skills required
To take the role of Workshop Controller, you must have:
• Relevant experience in a similar role.
• Good attention to detail and able to meet deadlines
• Previous experience in a Porsche garage would be an advantage
• Flexibility
• Good IT skills
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work on your own initiative and to be a team player
• Clean UK Driving license.
