It is an exciting and challenging time for the Housing Sector and an opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and strong Generalist HR & OD Business Partner to join the organisation. A Housing Association background would certainly be useful, but isn’t essential – although we are looking for someone who shares our vision and our values, committed to the core values of social housing.

We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to develop professional relationships with Directors and Managers in order to support them to manage effectively all HR related issues. Specifically over this 12 month period we are looking for the successful candidate to work with managers in applying Incommunities/ Sadeh Lok’s Managing Attendance Procedure.

The successful candidate will be expected to identify key areas of the business requiring support, by drawing on expertise from within the HR Team where appropriate, with primary aim being to reduce overall sickness absence figures. Working alongside managers and Occupational Health and other agencies to develop strategies to support people back to work, along with initiatives which proactively support good health and well-being. You will require the ability to manage a high caseload, and provide expert advice in accordance with HR policies and procedures and legislative requirements. Contributing your HR expertise to business meetings with senior managers and prepare formal proposals for initiatives as required.

As part of this you will continually critically evaluate HR policies, processes and systems and develop proposals for improvements and efficiencies, ensuring that skills and professional expertise are regularly maintained and updated, through continual research of best practice, in the marketplace and through legal developments.

You will have highly developed emotional intelligence skills, be confident to challenge key stakeholders within the business, articulate and be comfortable in the provision of both proactive and reactive advisory services to managers. This will include being an advocate for HR policies and processes, and good employee relations.

If you feel you have the right experience and attributes and ready to take on a new challenge we would like to hear from you.
