Machine Operator

Jark KL is currently looking for experienced machine operators to work for one of our clients in Burry St Edmunds. Our client is specialist manufacturer of PVC, rubber, polyurethane, conveyor and drive belts, which is seeking to employ more workers due to their expanding business. Working on an ongoing temporary contract with an agency, there is a possibility of full time position for the right candidates.

Job Duties:

Comply with all Health & Safety requirements as detailed in company procedures and take an active role in achieving a zero harm environment.
Produce work of a high standard by adhering to quality standards to ensure that product is produced to agreed specifications. All quality records must be completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Remain customer focused in your approach to all tasks and operation.
Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards at all times, following the companies 5’s program and adopting a clean as you go approach to ensure a safe / clean working environment for all employees.
Can demonstrate continues improvement experience through skills such as lean manufacturing technics.
Demonstrate competence in timely machine set up, minimising downtime / waste and maximising efficiencies by working effectively as part of a team.
Demonstrate ability to operator machinery at the optimum run speeds and striving to surpass targets and be best in class.
Maintain a good working relationship with all colleagues to promote successful teamwork, in an open and honest style with a sense of urgency.
Involvement and participation in team projects and process improvement initiative, ensuring you always ask what more can I do to improve.
Display and willingness to learn and train to gain new skills.
Identification and reporting of engineering issues and working closely together to assist in resolving problems to minimise downtime. Undertake basic operator Maintance duties in and around machine areas.
Maintain a flexible attitude towards working hours and job role within the warehouse, be prepared to work a reasonable amount of overtime to cover holiday and sickness periods.
Want to become multi-skilled by having the ability to work on several machines in the factory to enable flexibility.

Working shift Monday to Friday 7am to 4.30pm, but have to be flexible to start hour early or leave an hour late if asked. 10£/h for full time hours and 15£/h for overtimes.
