We are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor for a prestigious FMCG client based in Cleckheaton.
The Production Supervisor is accountable to the Production Manager for
- Day to day planning and supervision for all production, cleaning and maintenance for all products on a daily basis and communication of this to the PM
- Health, Safety and Welfare of all present on the premises
- Training and induction of all staff and contractors
- Day to day safety of product and equipment
- Optimise most cost effective use of labour
- Identify areas to develop systems to improve quality, safety and reduce costs
Responsibilities include:
• Staff:
o Effective communication with PM and TLs and motivation of all teams
o Day to day Health and Safety and adherence to procedures and assessments.
o Induction and Training of new starters and external contractors
o Recruitment under guidance from PM and communication with agencies
o Be a member of Health and Safety Committee. Deputise for PM if absent.
o Identify and resolve any staff issue as it arises or communicate it up the chain to PM or MD immediately.
o Operation and documentation of disciplinary and grievance procedures up till and including Final Written Warning. Dismissal by PM only or if absent by 1 other Manager and 1 PS jointly.
o Completion and submission of correct, legible and accurate timesheets on weekly basis to office and to agencies.
o Back to work interviews and records for all illness / absence.
Previous supervisory experience within the FMCG sector is essential. Weekend work will be expected.
