Job description
• Fabricates components by analyzing requirements; welding parts.
• Develops welding projects by analysing work orders, prints and completed assembly; calculating requirements, studying metals, determining appropriate welding techniques.
• Collects equipment and materials by studying specifications and component requirements; order supplies and gases.
• Verifies welding results by inspecting and testing welds.
• Documents actions by completing records
• Maintains safe work environment by following procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining suppliers; performin preventive maintenance; calling for repairs as necessary.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Comply with all Company and Health & Safety procedures.
Skills/Qualifications
Demonstrable experience of welding in a similar heavy manufacturing environment
Coded welder
NVQ level education
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Problem solving ability
Team player as well as ability to work independently
Good communications skills
Skilled rate is £11.5232 (£426.358 per week).
Hours are 37 hours:
Days 0700 – 1500 (1430 Friday)
Early Shift 0600 – 1400 (1330 Friday)
Late Shift 1400 – 2230 (1330 – 1830 Friday)
Shift Allowance is £63.66 for rotational shift. Fixed shift is £32.87.
Attendance Bonus - £20.00 per week
Production Bonus – £9.00 per week
