Multi-skilled Shift Engineer

My client, based in the Evesham area is looking to recruit a Multi-skilled Shift Engineer on a Permanent basis working a Continental shift.

The main purpose of the role is ensure all plant and equipment is maintained and in good working order as well as attending breakdowns and making repairs safely whilst keeping downtime to a minimum.

Your responsibilities will include
- Providing a hands on approach within the engineering function
- Diagnose breakdown problems when they occur and make safe repairs
- To work through a programme of maintenance tasks
- To adhere to companies H & S at all times
- To support other members of the engineering team
- to communicative effectively at all times especially on shift handover
- Manufacture parts for machinery as required
- Implement PPM as required
- Assist the Engineering Manager to ensure all contractors are managed on-site
- Provide daily/weekly/monthly reports as required

As a suitable candidate you will have

- Broad knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
- Skills in repairing and maintaining a range of plant and equipment associated with a continuous production environment
- Turning and Welding experience
- Computer literate
- excellent communication skills
- an ability to prioritise
- be resourceful and use your own initiative
- be able to offer flexibility
- work well with others

This role is based on a continental shift between 0630-1830 and the salary on offer is up to £35,000.
