POS Product & Innovation Manager

My client based in the Cotswolds area of Gloucestershire is looking to recruit a POS Product and Innovation Manager on a Permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity join a business as it continues to grow and develop, one where you will be one of the main protagonists in helping drive true innovation for new product, driving the environmentally sustainable materials program. You will be the innovator and creative person who develops ideas and handles innovation projects.

Some of the main functions of the role will include

- Screen Market Trends and innovation trends
- Search for ideas and new technologies in the sense of open innovation
- Take responsibility of Continuous Improvement process and Quality Management
- Analyse opportunities, risks, strengths and weaknesses as well as controlling the future purpose and vision of the company
- Research into future trends and their impact on the company
- Set up framework to that innovation is encouraged and supported
- Coordinate all processes throughout each Project
- Review Product Lifecycle
- Take responsibility for IP, Design Rights, Patents and defend these in case of a challenge
- Mange the funding process if project is commercially viable
- Mange information in the relevant system for inventory planning and stock replenishment
- Mange Strategic buyers to safeguard supply chain and maintain company's profitability

As a suitable candidate you will offer the following

- experience in POS ‘true innovation’, component/ systems and product development, from conception, technical design, sample/ 3D printing/ patent through to initial production
- Offer Technical skills to develop innovative solutions
- Understand Legal and practical aspects of IP and patents
- Project Management experience
- Agile and commercially astute
- People Management and Leadership skills

The salary on offer will be candidate led, based on relevant experience to the role.
