JOB DETAILS
Job Title: Responsible Welding Coordinator
Department: Production
Reports to: Operations Manager

SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES
To develop and maintain appropriate management systems and procedures to support the accreditation to EN 15085 and ISO 3834 welding standards.
To actively engage in the daily operating processes of the organization to ensure that welding standards are maintained to best in class performance.

ATTRIBUTES & QUALITIES
•To develop and maintain the Quality management system in relation to welding controls and the requirements of EN 15085 and ISO 3834 by acting as the Responsible Welding Coordinator and meeting the responsibilities defined in ISO 14731:2019.
•To develop and maintain effective Welding Procedures and supporting welding procedure qualification records to enable the organization to meet prescribed requirements.
•To develop and maintain Welding related work instructions and/or weld paths/maps as required to support the organizations’ ability to meet prescribed requirements.
•To actively engage and support the Requirements and Technical review process from a welding perspective, ensuring that appropriate procedures and controls are in place to support the organizations’ ability to meet prescribed requirements.
•To conduct audits of sub-contract capabilities when required in order to determine their suitability to support our welding requirements.
•To monitor and support the capabilities and qualifications of welders and welding operators to ensure that they can support the organizations’ ability to meet prescribed requirements.
•To monitor and support the capabilities of the welding equipment and consumables to ensure that it is suitable, effectively maintained, and calibrated to support the organizations’ ability to meet prescribed requirements.
•To actively engage and support the Production Planning process from a welding perspective, ensuring that appropriate consideration is giving to welding requirements to support the organizations’ ability to meet prescribed requirements.
•To monitor and support the capabilities of the Welding Inspection processes and equipment with appropriate training, documentation, procedures and calibration controls to support the organizations’ ability to meet prescribed requirements.
•To actively engage in the resolution and response to welding related Non-conformance and corrective actions to ensure appropriate controls are established to prevent re occurrence.
•To ensure that effective traceability records are maintained within the management system to support the organizations’ ability to meet prescribed requirements.
•To support the development and maintenance of appropriate quality records associated with welding control.

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
•to be qualified as either an:
International Welding Engineer (IWE) or International Welding Technologist (IWT),
Preferable
•to be a qualified (e.g. CSWIP / PCN) Welding Inspector

EXPERIENCE
•Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in the same role and in a similar environment
•Experience of developing and implementing Welding related procedures and management systems and achieving/maintaining EN 15085/ISO 3834 accreditation.

Pay - £14.00 - £17.00 per hour
