Jark Cambridge are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of one of our clients based in Norwich who specialise in providing an engeering consultancy service to building owners, construction companies and public organisations.
This is a permanent position paying between £40-45,000 per year. Ideally you will already have a minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar type of role.
The duties of this position will include:
· Development of detailed designs and CAD drawings for control systems as appropriate that will include:
· Preparing GA layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches & diagrams
· Preparing detailed manufacturing drawings, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used,
· relation of one part to another and parts to the whole assembly
· Preparing design concepts for bid purposes
· Preparing electrical schematic drawings using 2D or Autocad electrical packages
· Preparing Mechanical Designs using 3D modelling software

Skills Requirement
Requirements and Experience:
· PC literate with experience of Word, Excel and databases
· HNC Mechanical Engineering qualification would be desirable
· Experience of Autocad 2D and Autocad electrical.
· Solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology
· Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations
· Experience of Inventor 3D Modelling Software
· Ability to travel to clients sites as necessary
· You are expected to conduct yourself in a professional manner compatible with the goals and aims of the company position
· Excellent communication skills
· Attention to detail and accuracy
Qualifications Requirement
HND or HNC in mechanical design
