JARK is looking for Multi Drop Parcel delivery drivers in the Gloucestershire area. We’re offering agency work that can lead to a permanent contract. We have client based in Gloucestershire looking for people to get started immediately.
Job Title: Van Driver
Location: Gloucestershire
Pay Rate: 10.50-13ph
Job Type: Temp- on going/ temp-perm
Key responsibilities
· Timely Deliveries: Ensuring that all assigned deliveries are made on time and in accordance with the established delivery schedule.
· Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service by being courteous, professional, and helpful when interacting with customers/ clients.
· Communication: Maintaining open and clear communication with the dispatch team or supervisors to provide updates on delivery progress, report any issues or delays, and coordinate any changes in delivery schedules.
· Adhering to Safety Regulations: Following all traffic laws and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate safety gear e.g., seatbelts, obeying speed limits, and practicing safe driving techniques to reduce the risk of accidents.

- Driving Skills: Proficiency in operating a delivery vehicle, including safe driving practices, navigation, and the ability to handle different types of vehicles Defensive driving skills are crucial for ensuring safety on the road.
- Time Management: Effective time management skills to ensure deliveries are made on schedule. This includes the ability to plan routes efficiently, manage delivery windows, and adapt to unexpected delays.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills to interact courteously and professionally with customers and or clients. Delivery drivers often have direct contact with clients, and a positive demeanor can enhance the customer's experience.
- Attention to Detail: An eye for detail is important for accurately loading and unloading items, checking delivery paperwork, and ensuring that the right products are delivered to the correct recipients. This helps prevent errors and maintains the integrity of deliveries.
- Problem-Solving: The ability to think on your feet and make quick decisions in response to unexpected situations, such as traffic delays, delivery issues, or adverse weather conditions. Problem-solving skills are essential for overcoming challenges that may arise during deliveries.
