Jark Bradford Ltd Commercial Division are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Grounds Maintenance Operatives.
We have work available in Keighley for various parks & gardens, seasonal work available until October 2021
To work: Monday to Friday 7am to 4:30pm 44 hours per week
Pay Rate: For the first 12 weeks’ pay rate is national minimum wage £8.91, after 12 weeks this is paid at a higher rate £9.36
Successful candidates will be required to carry out a variety of grounds maintenance work mainly: grass cutting including the use of strimmer’s, walk behinds, ride-on mowers, shrub bed works, hedging, landscaping, site clearance, bulk rubbish & fly tip removal, chemical treatment & application.
You will work as part of a team with seasonal staff, trainees, local residents, community groups and voluntary organisations including contractors.
To apply for the position you will need:
•A full valid driving licence and be a competent and safe driver. (Employment offers will be subject to applicants passing a driver assessment). B + E entitlement would be an advantage
•To provide suitable reference (including last employer)
•Experience of grounds maintenance manual work and a basic plant knowledge
•General knowledge of health & safety including safe site working practices
•The ability to work with others as part of a team
•The ability to follow verbal and written instructions
•To be able to work out doors in all weathers, on all ground terrain types
