I am recruiting for 4 x Assembly Technicians for my client in Melbourne, Near Royston. This role is a permanent role working temporary for the first 12 weeks. This role is an immediate start.
To manufacture component parts and assemblies to engineering drawings and templates using machine tools, hand tools, gauges and measuring equipment. To work to the specified quality and time standard. To perform quality assurance and product testing as directed by Company procedures. To perform other duties as directed which are compatible with the skills, knowledge and experience stated for this job, or for which training has been provided.
Limits of Authority and Decision Making:
1. To stop production and seek advice if it is believed that product quality is compromised.
2. To stop production and seek advice if it is believed that Health and Safety is compromised.
Working Conditions:
General factory environment. Some manual handling and lifting of materials is required.
Knowledge and qualifications:
Good spoken and written English and number literate. No formal qualifications are required.
Experience, Attitudes and behaviours:
Familiar with general factory work, or assembly of small components, and able to follow written or verbal instructions. Possessing manual dexterity and able to work as part of a team with minimal supervision.
This role is working Monday to Thursday 0700-1530, Friday 0700-1230. Ideally you will have your own transport or live locally due to location.
